 Within an oval frame are depicted the animal of Seth (a very similar representation of the aimal of Seth on a carnelian scarab from the 19th dynasty is Keel 2010: Der el-Balah Nr. 13; cf. also Megiddo: Schumacher 1908: 123 Taf. 39a with Maat-feather above the back, 18th-19th dynasty; Petrie 1906: 32, pl. 33,16, Lachisch: Rowe 1936: No. 713; Tell el-Jahudije; Newberry 1907: 235 No. 36937, pl. 9,36937; Petrie 1925: pl. 17,1329; Monnet Saleh 1970: No. 241; Hornung/Staehelin 1976: No. 659f; all these are probably 19th dynasty) with j sign (or feather) on it’s back and x-shaped sign in front of it (cf. Keel 1997b: Achsib Nr. 114, 144; Keel-Leu 1991: Nr. 104; for the meaning see Keel 1981: 193-212).
